Davona Mapp writes engaging fiction inspired by her lived experiences. Her descriptive voice coupled with her strong sense of cadence pulls the reader onto the page. She likes writing real and raw characters and enjoys blending aspects of our world with elements of the fantastical and horrific.
Meet Davona
Born in the Bronx and raised between the bustling borough and the respite of the Catskill Mountains, Davona has the unique perspective that comes from being exposed to a wide variety of life and culture. She loves the constant noise of a city and the trickle of a hidden stream.

Davona graduated from the University at Albany with a Bachelor's Degree in English. Her studies and absolute love of storytelling have ultimately led her to become a freelance editor while she pursues publication full-time.

When she isn't writing or editing, Davona can be found watching Downton Abbey on repeat, drinking her weight in hot cups of tea year-round, and pining for the holiday season.
